Endowments

Endowments are permanently restricted funds, managed by the USD Foundation's Investment Committee using the best fund managers in the country. A portion of the fund's value is allocated each year according to Foundation policies to be used as the donors directed.

Investment Return

The investment performance of the USD Foundation's endowment typically ranks in the top 25% of similar endowments in the U.S. and consistently outperforms the benchmark index.  The benchmark index against which the performance is measured consists of the returns of:

S&P 500, Russell 1000 Growth,  Russell Mid Cap Growth, MSCI EAFE Index, Barclays Capital Aggregate Bond Index,
Barclays Capital High Yield Index, Russell 1000 Value, MSCI US Prime Market Growth,  NAREIT Equity, CPI + 585
